Personal & Business Discovery

THE BIG (BIG!) PICTURE

It would be insane for us to make adjustments to your personal styling business without getting personal first. Our time together will begin with a Personal & Business Discovery session where we outline the specific (and critical) dynamics of your personal orbit. For example:

 

  • Is personal styling a part-time or full-time endeavor in your new transition?  

  • How much time will you allocate to styling clients and growing your business in your new life stage?

  • Are you caring for others while running your personal styling business?

  • What does business success look like in your new life scenario?

 

Once we have defined the personal, we will then uncover the specific ways in which you have (or, have not) approached critical areas of your business. For example:

 

  • The types of personal styling services you would like to keep, delete, and incorporate in your new transition.

  • The type of messaging you would like to establish and use in your marketing efforts before, during, and after your transition. 

  • The styling process currently in place and its ability to 1) provide clients with an extraordinary personal styling experience, and 2) supply you with a healthy return on investment.

  • The administrative tools and systems used to help you run a streamlined and automated business back-end.

PHASE 2

Personalized Plan Development

A TAILOR-MADE PLAN

Upon completion of the Personal & Business Discovery process, I will use the information gathered to generate a custom business blueprint for your styling enterprise. Your custom business blueprint will serve as a high-level map that will assist as a guide before, during and after your transition.

 

Clients & Partnerships

  • A communication and transition plan for your current book of business - including the types of services to offer leading up to your transition.

  • An outline of the types of clients and partnerships we want to attract to your business once you have transitioned and a plan to begin the conversation before the big change.

 

Services & Promotions

  • The types of services to offer after your transition along with any pricing adjustments.

  • The types of promotions to execute in your new market along with the game plan, tools, and design assets to execute.

 

Marketing Strategy

Our #1 objective when it comes to marketing: Nothing that drains your soul. Based on information shared during our Personal & Business Discovery session, your custom blueprint will include an implementation plan for some or all of the following:

  • Retail Partnerships & Agreements

  • Referral Program

  • Group Presentations

  • Social Media Marketing

  • Email Marketing

 

Once I have completed your custom business blueprint, we will go over the plan and, together, make any necessary adjustments. Once your custom blueprint is a Go, we'll transition into our third phase - Implementation!

PHASE 3

Business Plan Implementation

DOING THE WORK

A pretty business plan on paper means nothing without execution. During Phase 3, I will provide you with specific action steps to take each week in order to reach key milestones:

 

  • Milestone 1: Messaging & Services Schedule Before, During & After Your Transition

  • Milestone 2: Administrative Tools & Systems Setup

  • Milestone 3: Branding & Website Updates

  • Milestone 4: Marketing & Promotion Schedule & Setup After Your Transition

 

As your business mentor, I will be with you every step of the way. Ensuring your questions are answered, comments are heard, and accomplishments are celebrated!

PHASE 4

Establishing Healthy & Profitable Business Habits

SOLID BUSINESS PRACTICES

Once we have completed key milestones to prepare you for your transition, we will transition to the fourth and final phase of YM3 - Establishing Healthy & Profitable Business Habits. 

 

Similar to Phase 3, I will provide you with specific steps to take each week once you have made the big transition.

 

You can expect your weekly action steps during Phase 4 to be marketing centric around some or all of the following:

  • Sharing the exciting news of your new business transition!

  • Executing a retail partnership program. 

  • Executing a client referral program.

  • Booking and providing live presentations.

  • Creating a social media plan that doesn't suck the life out of you.

  • Executing an email marketing plan.

 

As your business mentor, I will provide you with a unique blend of suggestions, tips, and accountability that is imperative during your initial weeks of a re-launch.

YM3 MAY NOT BE A GOOD FIT IF...

You want YM3 pro bono.

You want to go through YM3 along with the services of another business and/or marketing consultant or business and/or marketing program.

 

You are unable to invest 20 - 25 hrs per week, for three consecutive months in order to advance your business. This includes, but is not limited to: write and/or customize content, market research, sales & marketing planning + execution, setting up and testing administrative systems + tools, customizing marketing templates, executing styling services, etc.

 

You are not open to adjusting current brand colors and/or design assets such as fonts, logo, patterns, etc.

 

You find it extremely difficult to create and share a document electronically. In other words, technology cripples you.

You are against promoting yourself and/or your business through either in person and/or online marketing endeavors.

 

You want to go through YM3 in order to learn (aka, "be inspired by") its systems and resources, then offer and charge for a similar service.
